If you’re preparing for the Army Combat Fitness Test, one of the first things you should know is the ACFT minimum score required to pass. Unlike the old APFT, the new ACFT is more comprehensive and tests a wider range of physical capabilities — making score awareness even more important.

The test consists of six events:

  • 3-Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL)

  • Standing Power Throw (SPT)

  • Hand-Release Push-Ups (HRP)

  • Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC)

  • Plank (PLK)

  • 2-Mile Run (2MR)

Each event is scored out of 100 points. To pass the ACFT, a soldier must score at least 60 points in each event, making the ACFT minimum score for a passing result 360 out of 600. Failing even one event results in an overall failure, regardless of high performance in other areas.

To stay on track and avoid surprises, many soldiers use digital tools like acftcalculator.co.uk, which lets you calculate your score automatically and shows whether you’ve met the acft minimum score for each category.
